The Blog is finally back…

Its time to get back to the fun of Amateur radio.   I have updated the blog software, updated the header image and I have updated quite a bit of the code behind.  So now its all about getting back into the fun of Amateur Radio.

I will be posting general updates, photos, recordings and other nice things (that I consider to be nice things anyway) that bring me enjoyment and hopefully will do the same for the readers (how ever few or many that may be).

Things have changed very little here in Seabrook.  I still operate on HF with a Flex 5000 and a Yaesu FT-2000D – but I have dumped the Yaesu FT-857D in favor of a new ID-880H D*Star radio.

And I have to say I am absolutely loving it.   I wish I could talk more on it during the day, but work seems to get in the way.    You can see the radio above in the site header.   A nice little radio, even if the fan does get a little noisy at times.

I also have the new ICOM ID-31A 70cm’s handy talky too, but not much to say about it yet as I have not used it in anger.  That will come next month when I make a trip to North Carolina with Robbi to hunt for our new home!

Ok.  That’s enough for now, lots more behind the scenes things to fix and I also need to look at redesigning the homepage too.   It’s also a little outdated and needs a tweak!
