Pecker UPDATE

updateWow, talk about opening a can of worms.  Never did I expect a ton of hate mail from creating this thing.  You would think I had created a device to assist with abortion from the amount of hateful and downright insulting emails I have had over creating a software version of the Pecker.   It’s the devils work it seems.

Anyway, never have I been the the type to be scared off by anyone, knock at my door and show me the same anger – you shall see.

I have made a few modifications to the software for those people who have shown a little more positive interest (the majority, I can honestly say that).

So, one that was born out of a request is the ability to change the Waveform from a Saw Tooth to a Square Wave.   And I have also upped the default amplitude level to 100 to match the H/W Pecker.

So, bottom line people, its free.  You don’t have to pay $60 to try this and then decide its not for you.  So those that are complaining, wind yer necks in and live a little.

Experimentation is what brings joy to my life – try it…you might enjoy it!

If you don’t like it, drop the files in the trashcan / recycle bin and then go find something else to amuse you.

I’ll be here all week!

The G7EIX Pecker is available to download

Wednesday, 29 August 2012 15:25 by g7eix

I have finally completed the release version of the G7EIX Pecker. You can get all the details and the download from here:

http://pecker.g7eix.com

I don’t currently own an Amplifier as I live in a very severely restricted HOA (this will be changing very soon!) so I have not included any instructions on how to tune with the Pecker.

I created this application out of a need from a fellow HAM who recently converted to a Flex, he and several others have been my BETA testers. So detailed SSB Tuning information is available via Google and a couple of links I have provided on the download page. If in doubt, Google is your friend.

If you have any questions regarding the software, bugs, feature requests or praise or otherwise – then look me up on QRZ.COM and fire me an email.

In the meantime. Enjoy!
